What skills does the child need to already have in order to use Carrot Kitchen?
If the child has already cooked a little on their own or with an adult, it will be easier to start cooking also with Carrot Kitchen. Recipes marked "easy" don’t require the usage of an oven or stove top, and they are made with only a few ingredients. With recipes requiring usage of an oven or stove top, it is good for an adult to show the child how to use them for the first times. The app’s ingredient list and visual symbols tell you if the recipe is dairy free, nut free, gluten free, or vegan. If desired, milk and yoghurt can always be replaced with oat products, for example. The child, together with the parent, can think about the best ways to apply the recipe to the required diet. The recipes are simple, so they are usually easy to modify.
How difficult are the recipes?
You can choose different difficulty levels from the recipes depending on how experienced the cook is. The recipes are divided into three levels: easy, medium and pro level. Most of the instructions are from the easy and medium categories. Easy and medium recipes use a maximum of 4-10 ingredients. However, the time required for cooking may vary in different cases.
